I then noticed I had only a single version of LibreOffice on my PC, so I proceeded to uninstall it again, using the same set of commands as above. I have Linux Mint 18 XFCE 64-bit and I am able to uninstall libreoffice (sudo apt-get remove libreoffice) but when I do the entire Desktop environment goes nuts.
